Nationalpark Tayrona - E

Here it was very difficult for me to select few photos. Everywhere are great motives worth making photos. The best thing would be if you go there yourself.

 MAS FOTOS aquì!!

The park is situated along the coast up to Santa Marta and is open at three entrances for visiors. You cannot stroll through the whole park by just one entrance, you have to go from one entrance to the other and pay extra. A combined ticket does not exist.

You can reach the main entrance by a 45 minutes- busride starting from Santa Marta. The entrance is not cheap. Next to the entrance you get information of the park, can ask questions and get a map, where you can find all paths. A shuttle-bus will take you about 5 km into the park, where the paths start. The bus fee is not included.

In the park there are all kinds of hostels, starting from luxury until hammok to hire. Restaurants have different prices, too. But I remember only one shop.

The footpaths through the park is spectacular. You should plan about 2 - 3 days if you like walking. Only one path is popular, the other ones we had only for us. You also can hire a horse if you like. On the lonely paths we saw 2 different types of monkeys, one of the monkey went very near and let us make photos with a lot of patience.

Directly at the beach there is no underwater world, but there are tours by boats for snorkelling and diving.
